Jonathan Majors Biography
Jonathan Majors is an American actor who rose to prominence after starring in the independent feature film The Last Black Man in San Francisco (2019). In the following year, he became even more popular for portraying Atticus Freeman in Lovecraft Country, and in 2021, he began starring in Loki. Majors also starred in The Harder They Fall (2021) and played Jesse Brown in Devolution (2022).
Born in Lompoc, California, he attended Cedar High School. Later on, he attended and graduated from Duncanville High School in 2008. As a teenager, he faced numerous struggles but never gave up. Majors was arrested for shoplifting, suspended from high school for getting into a fight and at one point he lived in his car while working two jobs to make ends meet.
Later on, he found a theatre where he sharpened his acting skills. He also studied at the University of North Carolina School of Arts where he got his bachelor’s degree. In addition, he attended the Yale School of Drama where he graduated with an MFA degree in 2016. While still here, he got a role in the ABC miniseries When We Rise. After this role, Majors went on to attain national and international glory to where he is today. He is set to appear as Damien “Dame” Anderson in Creed III (2023).
