Kaley O’Kelley Biography
Kaley O’Kelley is an American Award-Winning journalist who is currently working as an anchor and reporter at ABC15. She is fascinated with the challenge of television news relevance, connecting with people, and the ever-evolving world of “new media.”
A Pepperdine Unversity graduate, O’Kelley started her broadcasting career back in high school. At the age of 17, she was tapped to host a Los Angeles-based television talk show. The experience eventually landed her at KYMA in Yuma. While there she co-anchored the morning news and forecast the weather. Later on, she went to work at KEYT, XETV San Diego, and Phoenix to co-host Sonoran Living Live and forecast the weather for ABC15 Arizona. She then joined 3TV in Phoenix where she was voted Best News Personality in 2013 and 2014.
In relation to her career, she co-hosted “The Emmitt Zone” with Dallas Cowboys’ great Emmit Smith. She also worked on The Weather Channel and Good Morning America Weekend. In 2015, she was offered an opportunity to anchor the evening news at CBS in Dallas/Fort Worth. She however returned to ABC15 Arizona in August of 2018 to co-anchor the morning news.
Originally from East Wenatchee, Washington, she is a proud member of the Native American Journalists Association. She is also a member of The American Meteorological Society and the National Weather Association. Additionally, on weekends, she loves riding bikes and exploring places with her family.
