Kaitlin Cody Biography
Kaitlin Cody is an American meteorologist who works as a weekday morning meteorologist for WFLD, Fox 32 News in Chicago. In June 2017, she became a member of the station’s staff.
Cody earned a Bachelor of Science degree in meteorology with a minor in mathematics from Central Michigan University in 2012. During her time at the university, she was a member of the Alpha Chi Omega Sorority.
After graduation, Cody relocated to Bristol, Tennessee, to work for WCYB, where she met her husband. She had a lot of fun anticipating the Appalachian Mountains’ topography. Kaitlin covered everything from flooding to ice storms in Bristol.
She later relocated to Charlotte, North Carolina’s WCCB. She enjoys getting people up in the morning and has a lot of fun doing it on the show, Rising, from Monday to Friday. While covering Hurricane Matthew in Myrtle Beach, Cody was able to make daily forecasts for the North and South Carolina coasts.
Cody also worked as an intern at Fox 2 News WJBK from May to August 2011. From January 2009 thru December 2011, she worked as a meteorologist at News Central 34 at Central Michigan University. She also worked as a weathercaster at WMHW Modern Rock 91.5 and Mountain 101 from September to December 2011 before joining WYCB.
Kaitlin was delighted to forecast the Chicago winter because there was some ice and snowstorms in the south. Working in Chicago has been a dream of hers since she was in high school, and she considers herself extremely fortunate to have had the opportunity.
