Karen Hepp is a renowned American journalist currently working as an anchor and reporter for FOX 29 News. She joined FOX 29 News team in November 2010. She is the anchor for Good Day Philadelphia. In addition, she is among the most respected and appreciated TV anchors. Hepp has had a successful career of anchoring and reporting for more than two decades, as well, she is a member of the American Federation of Radio and Television Artists.
Hepp went to a girl’s college named Agnes Irwin School. Her most important subjects were AP Chemistry, AP Physics, and AP Biology. She completed and graduated BA in Broadcast Journalism in New York University Manhattan NY in 1989.
Hepp tried to pursue a career in the medical field before shifting to journalism. She got her first job in 1994 until 1995 where she worked as an anchor for WMGC-TV, a company in Birmingham, NY. From 1995-1996, she worked as a reporter for WROC-8 in Rochester, New York. Later on, she moved to Hartford, Connecticut to work for the same company.
In 1997, Hepp headed to NBC-owned company, WVIT-TV in New Britain, Connecticut where she worked as a reporter until 2002. Similarly, she continued to work for NBC in several capacities, whereby, many overlapped in terms of time frames.
Moreover, Hepp worked as a reporter at WCAU-TV in Philadelphia from 1997-2002. She contributed a lot to WNYW-TV and WNBC-TV in Manhattan, New York as an anchor. She gained massive popularity after becoming the anchor for the popular show named ‘Good Day New York’. Currently, she works in ‘Good Day Philadelphia’ which telecasts from WTXF-TV. Furthermore, she is a member of the America Federation of Radio and Television Artists.
