Katelyn Jae is an American musician from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the United States who rose to fame after dating and eventually marrying country music star, Kane Brown. Her birth name is Katelyn Rose Krapf. In addition, she was the first winner of the first season of YOBI.tv and MySpace’s “Take the Stage” contest. Currently, Jae is signed by Wright Entertainment Group.
When she was 3 years old, Jae got a Karaoke machine and started singing. She was then noticed by a choir teacher when she was in her fifth grade. This was through her splendid performance of Celine Dion’s My Heart Will Go On. She was also trained under the vocal coach, Kelly Woolfrey when she was growing up
Jae spent most of her formative years in Chester Spring, Pennsylvania. She has always shown much interest in creative arts and music right from her days in Downingtown, Chester County.
Having the same interest, Jae joined the West Chester University of Pennsylvania where she got a degree in music management. As a teen, Katelyn is also placed in the top five musicians in the 2008 International Model list.
The star later featured among 23 female singers who represented the United States at the 2010/2011 women-only music contest; Avon Voices. Her appearance at the top five list earned her a radio play for her original song Skills.
