Katie Lasalle is an American reporter and anchor who is currently working as a weather forecaster at Denver7 (ABC affiliate) since joining the station in March 2016. However, Lasalle began her career in broadcasting at Plum TV based in Aspen, Colorado. After a winter, she went to Coos Bay, Oregon to serve there as a multimedia journalist before assuming a similar role in Eugene.
Lasalle is a proud graduate of the University of Colorado where she joined in 2009 and graduated in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science in Journalism and Broadcast News with a major in Digital Media. While at the university, she acted as the vice-Chair of the cultural Events Board from September 2010 to December 2012. In this position, she monitored the allocation of funds toward CU student group events as well as Board Projects.
In addition, she forecasted the varying Pacific Northwest weather, covered and reported stories from politics and housing issues, from community events. Later on, she became the evening news anchor. Her role at Denver7 was to serve the station’s weather forecaster, anchor, as well as a reporter.
Most recently, Lasalle came up with a series called ExplOregon which captured some of the state’s amazing aspects. The series included backpacking, skydiving, as well as skiing. Lasalle explored Oregon and currently looking forward to many more new adventures in Colorado. Currently, she co-hosts a similar lifestyle series at Denver7 known as Mile High Must together with 5280 Magazine.
