Katie Sampson is an American award-winning journalist currently working as the morning anchor and reporter for Good Day Maine on CBS 13 News in Portland, Maine. You can always catch her weekdays on Good Day Maine on CBS 13 from 5-7 a.m.
Sampson attended Suffolk University in Boston where she graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Broadcast Journalism. After her graduation, she worked as a reporter in Topeka, Kansas for two years before relocating to Portland.
Since moving to Maine, She has had a blast sampling the incredible restaurants in Portland and beyond. When she is not on a duty call, Katie likes exploring different parts of Maine, watching her favorite TV shows, and visiting her family in New Hampshire.
In 2015, Sampson was part of the award-winning, team-coverage of the deadly tent collapse in Lancaster, New Hampshire. In addition, she covered multiple blizzards that battered Maine in the winter of 2014-2015.
Since joining CBS 13 in April 2014, Katie has been doing her best and now she is part of the Good Day Maine as the morning anchor, a position she holds since December 2016.
