Katy Morgan is an American meteorologist who is currently working as a chief meteorologist at WZTV FOX 17 since January 2014. Being an all-American girl, Katy has lived all over the United States and is now proud to call Nashville home. Prior to joining her current station, she worked as a meteorologist at WXIX-TV FOX 19 from December 2010 to December 2013.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in Soil, Environmental and Atmospheric Sciences from the University of Missouri, with a minor in Geography. In addition, she is active with the ASM and has earned the Certified Broadcast Meteorologist Seal of approval.
Throughout her career, she has covered countless server weather events in tornado alley, along with the March 2nd, 2012 tornado outbreak in Indiana. Morgan was also part of tropical storm coverage in Myrtle Beach during the 2008 tropical storm season.
