Rapper King Kaka was born Kennedy Tarriq Ombina on May 7, 1987, in Nairobi, Kenya. As a Kenyan musician, the renowned star has majored in Hip Hop with a strong base in oral prose and poetry. He works as a songwriter, video director, and executive producer in his own music production, The Kaka Empire studios.
Kennedy is also a prosperous entrepreneur having been chosen by Safaricom PLC to mentor the youth in business through the BYOB youth platform.
However, just like any other noble Kenyan, King Kaka started from a humble background. Born in Nairobi, he attended St. Johns Primary School where he qualified to join Eastleigh High School for his secondary education. Additionally, due to his love and passion for music at an early age, he was chosen as the entertainment captain in the latter school. During this period, his impact could be felt by the numerous talent search programs he had in place.
After school, he had to struggle to make ends meet as he was raised by a noble single mother. He worked as a hawker where he severally met the City askaris. They frequently cuffed him.
