Krystal Klei Biography
Krystal Klei is a renowned American meteorologist currently working for NBC10‘s First Alert Weather team. Klei joined the NBC10 weather team in July 2016 and broadcasts live forecasts during weekend morning newscasts.
Krystal attended Arizona State University where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Geography-Meteorology/Climatology, as well as a Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcast Journalism.
She got her weather internship at KNXV-TV for a period of 5 months starting January 2011 to May 2011. She also interned for another 4 months at the network but as a news intern.
Starting in August 2011, Klei worked as a Weather anchor at Cronkite News Watch, KAET, based in Phoenix. At the station, Krystal was responsible for producing weather shows and their live presentation while also developing, writing, and shooting new stories.
After her graduation, Klei started work at KVIA-TV in El Paso, Texas a Meteorologist. She started as a weekend morning meteorologist and weekday reporter. Eventually, she started doing the morning and noon shows as well in 2013. Klei provided live and taped forecasts for radio stations, newspapers, and magazine publications.
In July 2016, she moved to NBC10 in Philadelphia where she hosts weather forecasts on weekends and often fills as a weekday meteorologist. Krystal is also known for her service in KVIA-El Paso, Texas, where she worked as a meteorologist.
Krystal loves getting involved with local STEM education efforts and animal rescue initiatives. She always tries to visit local schools and teach meteorology whenever possible. As an avid animal lover, Klei acts as the Clear the Shelters host on NBC10. While at KVIA, Krystal was a Humane Society Telethon anchor and adopted her dog, Freckles; live on-air to explain the process.
