Kyle Griffin is an American MSNBC writer and producer who is currently the producer of The Last Word with Lawrence O’Donnell, hour-long weeknight news and political commentary show. He resides in the New York City neighborhood of Manhattan.
He enrolled and graduated from The College of Saint Rose in Albany, New York in 2008, where he majored in Communications and English. Kyle also holds an MPS degree from The George Washington University in Strategic Public Relations, Class of 2010.
Kyle began his career as an assistant producer in WNYT from 2006 to 2008 in Albany, New York City. He then moved on to MSNBC for 7 months. Thereafter, he served at NBC News as an associate producer at NBC news. Between 2009 and 2012, he served as a producer in MSNBC. In 2012 he quit and moved to Australia to work for Yahoo. He then moved on to work as a freelancer for Seven Network in Sydney as a producer before later being promoted to a senior producer.
In 2015 he returned to the US and worked at MSNBC as a producer for the show The Last Word with Lawrence O’Donnell. He also covers issues that affect the LGBTQ community. He is an outspoken critic of President Donald Trump on Twitter.
