Lars Larson is an American journalist serving as a conservative talk radio show host based in Portland Oregon. Larson has been hosting his own show from flagship station KXL in Portland. He started his broadcast journalism career at KTIL in his hometown of Tillamook, Oregon at the age of sixteen years. He learned his trade under Mildred Davy and later became an announcer at Eugene-based KWAX.
Larson attended Tillamook Highschool where he earned his diploma. While he was a student, he was on the speech and debate team of the school. He later joined the University of Oregon in Eugene but later quit to work in radio and television. He took classes at Gonzaga University while he was working in Spokane.
Larson served as a news director for KATR in Eugene and later joined KBDF where he worked from 1978 to 1979. He later interned at KEZI television and KPNW radio and later became the news director at KZEL in Eugene before moving to KJRB in Spokane, where he was a reporter.
