Laura Rutledge is an American journalist who is currently working as a reporter and host for ESPN and SEC Network. She is also an American beauty pageant titleholder from St. Petersburg, Florida, who was named Miss Florida on July 7, 2012. Rutledge received her crown from outgoing titleholder Kristian Manolo.
Following her education, she attended Celebration High School in Celebration, Florida. Later on, she graduated from the University of Florida, where she majored in broadcast journalism and was a member of the Zeta Tau Alpha sorority.
Prior to joining her current station, she worked for FOX Sports as a sideline reporter. She previously covered Fox broadcasts of Tampa Bay Rays Games and then San Diego Padres games. Rutledge also provided on-field reporting for Fox College Sports coverage of the NCPA’s 2012 National Paintball Championship in Lakeland.
In 2014, she hosted the Coors Light PostGame show on Fox College Football and halftime programming for FSN college football games. In addition, she hosted “Chargers Insider” for San Diego Charges in 2013 and “SD Live.”
On August 17, 2020, she became the host of ESPN’S premier NFL show, “NFL Live.” She is the producer and host of SDLive, an original show she started at Fox Sports San Diego.
