Leah Larocque Biography
Leah Larocque is a Canadian multi-skilled journalist who is currently working at CTV News Ottawa contributing content to television, radio, and platforms. She joined CTV News Ottawa in April 2015. Having grown up in Ottawa, she is happy to be back home working at the station she grew up watching.
She began her career in Edmonton as a radio and television reporter. Some of her most memorable stories include the st. Albert RCMP shooting, and the interned at CTV Canada AM. She also produced a radio documentary exploring the challenges players face after retiring from National Hockey League.
As a competitive athlete, she has competed at the national level in track and field and cross-country. Leah is fluent in French, English, and Spanish. In addition, she is a classically trained pianist and loves watching British period drama and going home for Sunday dinners with her family.
Talking about her education, she attended and graduated from Carleton Univerity with a Master’s of Journalism. She also obtained her undergraduate degree in Global Development Studies from Queen’s University in Kingston.
