Lew Leone Biography
Lew Leone is an Emmy award-winning American vice president and general assignment manager of WNYW-FOX 5 and WWOR-My9, and FOX Television station’s New York duopoly. Before joining FOX 5 and My9 team, he spent three years at WCBS-TV serving as the president and general manager. In addition, he also served for three years as the vice president of sales at WNBC-TV.
In 1998, Leone served as NBC Networks’ president of Olympics sales and sports. He was in charge of sports sales endeavors, including marketing strategies and the development of the new business during this role. Later on, Lew was promoted to this position after working for two years as WNBC’s local sales manager.
Moreover, Leone also served as an account executive for ABC Sports from 1993 to 1996, where he was the head of sales of the network’s sports properties. Similarly, his professional career includes serving as sales manager for Capital Cities/ABC National Television sales based in St. Louis and as an account executive for both ABC National Sales based in Chicago and WABC-TV in New York.
