Lina de Florias is an American journalist who presently works for Fox 26 Houston, KRIV-TV, as a morning news anchor and reporter. She co-hosts the Wake Up! show with Sally Mac and Lina. Lina began working at the station in September 2018.
Florias earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies and Broadcast Journalism from Arizona State University. In her junior year at the university, she competed in the Miss USA Pageant and represented Arizona.
Before joining Fox 26, De Florias spent three years as a morning anchor at KTVK/KPHO in her hometown of Phoenix, Arizona. She began her journalistic career on the Gulf Coast shortly after graduation, serving as the principal reporter in Pensacola, Florida, for five years.
She’s also covered tropical hurricanes in Florida and Arizona, flown with the Blue Angels and bAngels, the sound barrier. De Florias and her husband enjoy running, music, and food and are “pup parents” to a Cavachon named Gertie Belle.
