Liz Dueweke is an American news anchor who currently works from 5 to 10 a.m. at Q13 News This Morning. She started working at the station in 2014. She was an intern at Fox 2 WJBK in 2005 in Southfield, Michigan & was a freelance reporter and writer for the Real Detroit Weekly for 2 years from 2005 to 2007.
Dueweke joined Michigan State University and majored in Theatre and General Studies. She graduated from Oakland University with a degree in Broadcast Journalism and was a member of the school’s publication as well as other on-campus organizations and activities.
Dueweke worked as a morning anchor in Oklahoma City before moving to Seattle in 2013. The extreme weather she covered was the most notable, with live reports from ice storms, floods, and enormous tornadoes. Liz previously covered the car industry and its impact on the local community in Flint, Michigan, during the height of the recession.
Dueweke began her career in television as a reporter, anchor, and producer in Yuma, Arizona, in 2007, covering the US-Mexico border, immigration, and presidential visits. She also covered the weather in Yuma, which is one of the country’s hottest cities.
