Macy Egeland is an American journalist who is currently working as an evening anchor for NEWS12 Long Island. She started her career behind the scenes in high school in her hometown Bismarck, North Dakota. Later in, she pursued a broadcast journalism degree at Minnesota State University-Moorhead.
After starting her career as a studio camera operator, she went on to do everything from video photography to producing a newscast. Egeland even filled in as a weather anchor and sports reporter. Prior to joining her current station in July 2017, she launched a 2-hour weekend morning show in Colorado Springs.
Egeland played a major role in building the rundown and making the show No.1 in the market. When not working, Macy loves to explore her new home on the Island and New York City. In addition, she is always out trying new restaurants or relaxing at home with her dog Kora and her cat Loui.
