Marcus Scribner is an American actor who rose to fame for playing the main role of Andre Johnson Junior on ABC’s Black-ish. He also made a famous appearance as Junior on Blackish’s spin-off called Grown-ish. Scribner even made a guest appearance on Mixed-ish and voiced Bow’s character called She-Ra and the Princess of Power. His film credits are in Netflix’s Alexander IRL (2017), The F**k-It List and Farewell Amor.

Scribner was born and raised in Los Angeles, California to biracial parents. He grew up as a very shy kid who did not have any hobbies before he began studying acting at the age of seven. Scribner also began playing sports at a local middle school he was attending in his hometown. He balanced his studies while finishing his acting classes on weekends.

Marcus enjoyed playing basketball and lacrosse until he joined a public high school in 2014. In 2015, he began a home-schooling learning program to accommodate his busy working schedule after landing his major role on Black-ish.

Scribner made his acting debut at the age of ten years old by playing his first-ever guest star role in an ABC crime comedy-drama called Castle. He then went on to appear in a FOX news episode of the Wedding Band and Nickelodeon’s famous Tv show called Wendell & Vinnie.

Marcus landed his breakout role as Andre Johnson Jr. the first son of the Johnson family on ABC’s Blackish alongside Anthony Anderson, Trace Ellis Ross and Yara Shahidi. His role earned him national recognition as an actor bagging him the NAACP Image Award nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy.
