Mark Strehl Biography
Mark Strehl is an American meteorologist who is currently working for FOX 32 in Chicago Illinois and forecasts the weather during the Good Day Chicago news. When he joined the station, he replaced legend Harry Volkman and to him, this was a privilege and great honor since it was the weather legend that had inspired him since fifth grade to become a meteorologist.
In addition, he attended and graduated from both Northern and Southern Illinois University and earned a bachelor’s degree in Meteorology. He also holds the AMS Seal of Approval.
Mark started his journalism career at the age of 16 when he worked at the local radio station in Ottawa, Illinois as a radio reporter. In addition to his work experience, he has worked at WCCO-TV, a CBS-owned and operated station in Minneapolis, Minnesota as a meteorologist. He has also worked at WISN-TV (ABC affiliate) in Milwaukee, Wisconsin where he was a meteorologist and weather forecaster.
His experience in all these places including the coast of Eugene, Oregon, and Albany, New York where he also worked as a meteorologist, has given him diversified experience in regards to his job as a meteorologist. Currently, he works as a meteorologist at FOX 32 News in Chicago and forecasts the weather during the Good Day Chicago news.
