Marley Kayden Biography
Marley Kayden is an American journalist who is currently working as a host of “Chicago’s Best” on WGN-TV. Additionally, she joined the station in April 2018. Prior to this, she worked as a traffic anchor and reporter at NBC Universal Media for a period of 3 years and 3 months.
Kayden attended and graduated from the University of Virginia with a Bachelor of Arts in journalism and music. She then attained her Master of Science in Journalism from Northwestern University in 2013.
While still at the University of Virginia, she worked as an anchor at Wall Street Media. She however left the station in March 2009 after working for 10 months. In May 2011, she joined New Harmony Theater as an anchor and performer. She worked here for 4 months before departing the station in August of 2011.
In June 2012, Kayden joined Medill News Service as a Business reporter. However, in June of 2013, she left the station, and in April of the same year, she interned at WGN-TV as an on-air news intern. However, after her 3 months internship, she left the station in June 2013.
In late June of the same year, she joined Bloomberg LP as a Spot News Reporter but left the station in September of 2013. Kayden has also worked as a Theatre Critic in Chicago Music for 1 year 4 months. In November 2013, she joined Radiate Media as a traffic reporter where she covered traffic reports and worked as a fill-in anchor but left the station in October of 2016.
She has also been a CBOETV correspondent for CBOE in Chicago, Illinois for 3 years and 10 months. Following her departure from CBOETV, She joined NBCUniversal Media as a traffic anchor and reporter. Unfortunately, in April 2018, she left the station to join her current station.
She has been the host of “Chicago’s Best” at WGN-TV since April of 2018. When not working, this eloquent journalist can be found traveling and exploring new restaurants. She also loves spending time with her husband and baby girl.
