Matt Barrie is an Emmy Award-winning American sportscaster for ESPN’s SportsCenter since he joined the network in March 2013. Currently, he is the host of ESPN College Football alongside analysts Joey Galloway and Jesse Palmer on Thursday primetime pre-show and halftime show. Previously, Barrie worked for various channels such as WLTX-TV, KXAS, WJFW-TV, AND KSWO-TV. He is also a golf commentator for ESPN’s coverage of The Masters and PGA Championship.

Born and brought up in Scottsdale, Arizona, United States, Matt attended school at Walter Cronkite School of Journalism at Arizona States University. There he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism. In addition, he was inducted into the school’s Alumni Hall of Fame in 2020. Soon after graduation, Barrie began his professional career as a reporter for WJFW-TV in Wausau, Wisconsin.
