Melanie Christopher is an award-winning American journalist currently serving as an evening news anchor for WJTV 12 News in Jackson, Mississippi. She joined the station back in 1982 after working for years at a CBS affiliate station. Melanie made her on-screen debut on WJTV’s morning show alongside veteran long-time anchor Erin Pickesn and Ken South However, she announced her official departure from the show back in 2006 and made an official come back on WJTV officially back in 2011.
Christopher was born and raised by a working-class family living in the suburbs of the United States. She grew up as a very active kid who developed a passion for journalism at a very young age.
