Ferguson noticed that being on television had rooted in him, so he rejoined his broadcast career by working for WVTM-TV. Most notably, he began his career in broadcast in 1987, where he later took a break from the media after a few years to venture into the family business.
Prior to joining WBRC, Ferguson worked at WSFA-TV as a weather forecaster and co-host of a local morning show where he worked here for three years. He then later moved to WBMG-TV in Birmingham where he worked as a reporter and weekend anchor. Currently, he is working for WBRC as a weather forecaster.
