Talking about her education, she attended and graduated from West Virginia University with a degree in Broadcast journalism. After graduating, she began her career at WDTV in Clarksburg. It was at this very place that she natured and perfected her anchoring and reporting skills. After a few years of service at WDTV, Monica moved to WOWK-TV in Charleston. While there she was the main anchor of the 6 and 11 pm newscasts.
