Nicole Fierro Biography
Nicole Fierro is an American journalist currently working as a news reporter at KDVR-FOX31 Denver, Colorado. She joined the station in September 2019 as a multimedia journalist. She is excited to call the Mile High City home.
Previously, Fierro served as a reporter and anchor at NBC 15 News | WPMI-TV in the Mobile, Alabama Area. Fierro is a native of the East-coast, she is from Greenwich, Connecticut. Nicole joined the University of Maryland College Park where she received a Bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism.
While at the university, Nicole interned at NBC 4 New York’s I-Team, NBC 4 Washington, as well as NBC News Channel learning all she could concerning the future of journalism.
Fierro established herself by covering the murder of 11-year-old Gannon Stauch. In spite of network and worldwide media recognition of this case, Stauch’s biological family told her they rely on her ceaseless coverage to know about progress in seeking justice for their son. In addition, Stauch’s stepmother, charged with the boy’s murder, spoke particularly to Nicole in the days leading up to her arrest.

In her spare time, Fierro loves hiking, all kinds of gym classes, and spending time in the kitchen embracing her Italian heritage.
