Olivia Dekker Biography
Olivia Dekker is an American broadcast journalist and sports anchor from Kansas City. She is widely recognized for serving as a sideline reporter for ESPN College Football and NFL on Westwood One Sports. She is also known for appearing as a sideline correspondent for the Big Ten basketball Network. Prior to her work on ESPN, Olivia spent a couple of years working as a sports correspondent for FOX Sports South and Raycom.
Dekker was born and brought up in the suburbs of Mission Hills, Kansas as the daughter of a play-by-play announcer named Kevin Harlan. She finished her middle and high school education in her hometown, Kansas. From there, Dekker joined the University of Georgia where she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in journalism. She also won the Miss Kansas Teen USA award back in 2010 during her senior year in high school.
Olivia then began her career as a sportscaster who covered SEC and ACC football updates for FOX Sports South and Raycom. She also co-hosted a famous Green Bay Packers web series known as the Packers TV Network. Olivia then spent around two to four years working as Packers TV’s sideline reporter before becoming a co-host.
Dekker left Packers TV and joined FOX Sports South as a sideline reporter and co-anchor. She even got the opportunity to work alongside her father Kevin Harlan while she was in FOX Sports. This move made Olivia and her father become the first father-daughter duo to appear to present and call an NFL game together. Olivia left FOX in 2015 and Joined ESPN. She covered the World Team Tennis and other games for CBS sports in 2019 while she was still on ESPN. In 2020, Olivia was able to get the opportunity to cover various football games for The Big Ten Network before leaving and joining BetMGM. She has been working as a host and sports reporter for BetMGM since 2021,
