Olivia Fierro Biography
Olivia Fierro is an Emmy award-winning American journalist who currently works as an anchor whom you can find waking up Arizona viewers daily on “Good Morning Arizona.” She joined 3TV first in 2003 as a news reporter, just her second on-camera job after serving as a reporter in Amarillo, Texas.
In 2009, Las Vegas became home as she worked for six years as an anchor of the evening newscasts at FOX5Vegas. She fell in love with the fast-moving of news business while working behind the scenes at “Good Day LA.” While changing from student intern to full-time newsroom employee, Fierro found “her people”, the curious and the chatty.
Olivia graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in history and women’s studies (now gender studies). Upon her graduation, she turned to UCLA’s Extension Program for broadcast journalism.

A lifelong love of reading changed into a work project with the start of Olivia’s Book Club in January 2019. In 2021, she enlarged the brand with a weekly podcast, interviewing top-selling authors about their books and their personal stories.
Increasing her role in the book industry, she in addition hosts events for Changing Hands Bookstore, both in-person and online. Fierro is also committed to the value of local news as a way of connecting people and nourishing our sense of community, she frequently spares her time for local nonprofits as a volunteer or event host.
She works with organizations including Chicanos por la Causa, Dress for Success, March of Dimes, Valley of the Sun United Way, and Girls On the Run.

Besides work and reading, Fierro enjoys trying new restaurants, yoga, and watching her son play sports. She lives along with her husband, son, and Goldendoodle.
