Paul Begala is an American political consultant and political commentator. He is famous for working as the former adviser of former US President Bill Clinton. Begala frequently appears on a show titled The Situation Room on CNN among other programs on all CNN networks.

He is a research professor at Georgetown University where he is also doing his research in public policy. In addition, Begala played a vital role in the presidential election and helped Clinton to win the election In 1992. Additionally, he has also authored five political books.

Paul along with his business partner James Carville, helped then-Governor of Arkansas Clinton win the 1992 presidential election. He was then chief strategist for the 1992 Clinton-Gore campaign. Through his pursuit, Clinton carried 33 states and became the first Democrat elected President since 1976. Paul later served as a counselor to the president in the Clinton White House, coordinating policy, politics, and communications.

In addition, Paul and Carville had other well-organized political victories including the 1991 Pennsylvania United States Senate Victory of Harris Wofford, the 1988 re-election campaign of incumbent New Jersey U.S. Senator Frank Lautenberg, and the gubernatorial victories of Robert Casey in Pennsylvania in 1986, Wallace G. Wilkinson in Kentucky in 1987, and Zell Miller in Georgia in 1990.

Begala has also worked as a co-host of Crossfire which is CNN’s political debate program. Serving in the Clinton administration as a counselor to the president, he was a close adviser to Clinton. He helped in defining and defending the administration’s agenda, serving as a principal public spokesman.
