Rachel Maddow is an American television news program host and liberal political commentator. She hosts The Racheal Maddow Show, a nightly television show on MSNBC, as well as serving as the cable network special event co-anchor alongside Brian Williams.

Moreover, her syndicated talk radio program, The Racheal Madow Show aired on Air America Radio from 2005 to 2010. Maddow has received multiple Emmy Awards for her broadcasting career. In 2021, she received a Grammy Award for Best Spoken Word Album for her book Blowout.

Racheal holds a Bachelor’s Degree in public policy from Stanford University and a Doctorate in political science from Oxford University. Maddow’s first job as a radio host was in 1999 at WRNX in Holyoke, Massachusetts, then home to The Dave in the Morning Show. Luckily, she entered and won a contest station held to find a new second lead for the show’s principal host Dave Brinnel.

Moreover, she left the station and joined WRSI and hosted Big Breakfast for a period of two years, and left in 2004 to join the new Air America. While there she hosted Unfiltered along with Chuck D and Lizz Winstead until its cancellation in March of 2005.
