Randi Kaye Biography

Randi Kaye is an Emmy Award-winning anchor and correspondent for CNN based in New York. She reports for Anderson Cooper 360 while regularly anchoring and reporting for CNN’s Documentary Unit.

Since the time she joined CNN in December 2004, Kaye covered breaking news and covered in-depth investigation reports for Anderson Cooper 360. In 2013, Randi covered the President’s inauguration while anchoring from Washington D.C.

Kaye also reported and hosted CNN documentaries on the LAPD manhunt for Christopher Dorner, the Boston Marathon Bombing, and the Jordi Arias Trial. Her television career started at ABC in New York City where she worked at Nightline alongside Peter Jennings for five years. In ABC, Randi covered President Bill Clinton’s campaign in Little Rock, Ark. Soon after, she relocated to Arkansas to work at ABC affiliate KATV. IN KATV, Kaye covered the Whitewater investigation, the suicide of Whitehouse counsel Vince Foster, and the death of Virginia Kelley, Clinton’s mother.

In yet her capacity, she worked at ABC affiliate WFAA-TV in Dallas where she anchored and reported for Good Morning Texas. At KMSP-TV, a Fox affiliate located in Minneapolis, Randi hosted the nationally syndicated Everyday Living.

She also worked for WWOR, a UPN affiliate located in New York City where she filled the position of an anchor/reporter.

In 2006, Randi won an Emmy for her investigation on infertility drugs being sold on the black market. Likewise, she won a GLAAD and NLGJA award for reporting on the Sissy Boy Experiment for Anderson Cooper 360. This was back in 2012.
