Rick Leventhal Biography
Rick Leventhal is an American broadcast journalist and author who rose to fame for working as a co-host for FOX News from 1997 to 2021. He recently left FOX News to host his own show on Patreon called The Rick & Kelly Show with his wife Kelly Dodd. Kelly and Rick also host their other show called The Daily Smash. Before Fox News, Rick spent more than a decade reporting news for various media stations in Chicago, New York, Columbia, and South Carolina among other states.
The former FOX News co-host was born and brought up in Christian County, Kentucky with both parents present. Rick grew up as an introverted kid who would spend most of his free time waiting for the regular cable news to watch various journalists deliver the news. Therefore, boosting his passion for broadcasting.
Rick attended Montgomery Blair High School and graduated with an excellent high school diploma. He then earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in broadcast journalism from the American University School of Communication. After college, Rick began his work as a news anchor and reporter for WFLD TV based in Chicago.
He covered various news reports from war zones in Iraq, Afghanistan and Israel for WFLD News and other stations. He even spent almost a month covering the war-stricken areas of Kuwait. At FOX News, Rick gave full live coverage of the flooding of Louisiana, the hunt and kill of Osama bin Laden and the 2010 oil Spill.
He left FOX to begin his own show while pursuing his career as an author. Rick even published his own book in 2023 called Chasing Catastrophe which he narrates his experience reporting and covering Wars, Hurricanes and Terror Attacks from various countries.

Rick Leventhal Accident
In January 2023, Rick was hospitalized after being involved in a fatal road accident. He suffered four broken rib structures and injured his right foot according to what he shared on his Instagram post.
Sources have revealed that he was driving on the I-10 just outside palm Desert during a rainy season and hit a patch of ice. Rick is currently in stable condition and he will be discharged once he has fully recovered.
