Rob Duns Biography
Rob Duns is a well-known American meteorologist who presently works for NBC2 in Southwest Florida as a meteorologist. On weekdays, he can be seen on WBBH-TV in Fort Myers, Florida, during the 11 a.m., noon, 3 p.m., and 4 p.m. newscasts. Duns began working as a meteorologist for NBC2 in May of 2014. He previously worked at Newsline 9 WAOW-TV in Wausau, Wisconsin, as a meteorologist and host of “Wandering Wisconsin.”
The Wisconsin Broadcasters Association has honored Duns with five honors for his reporting, news writing, and photography. Moreover, in 2013, voters of City Pages’ “Best of the Wausau Area” selected him runner-up in the “Favorite Weather Forecaster” category. Rob created three documentaries in college that won awards at student film festivals in the United States and Canada.
Rob graduated from John Carroll University’s Tim Russert Department of Communication and Theatre Arts with a bachelor’s and master’s degree in communication and theatre arts, as well as a certification in broadcast meteorology from Mississippi State University.
