Rob Perillo is an American meteorologist who is currently working as a chief meteorologist at KATC-TV3’s Acadiana News Channel. He has more than 33 years of experience in forecasting Acadiana’s weather and has tracked hundreds of tropical storms and hurricanes. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Meteorology from the State University of New York at Oswego in 1983.
Most notably, he began his career at the State University of New York Research Foundation. During this same time, she also served as an emergency planning meteorologist for several nuclear power plants in Upstate New York. Rob was also an aviation forecaster for Air Routing International and a marine and industrial meteorologist for Wilkens Technologies.
He has also appeared on various weather specials that have aired on various cable networks. Rob has also appeared on various television shows and websites. He is the most recognized meteorologist in Louisiana and the recipient of more than a dozen Associated Press awards. Currently, he also is a local television meteorologist who has been recognized for his work in the field of tropical weather.
