Sal Castaneda is an American journalist working as an anchor and reporter for KTVU, a FOX affiliate based in the San Francisco Bay Area. He joined KTVU in 1999. His current role is to serve as the station’s traffic anchor for the morning show and a general assignment news reporter for the noon and evening newscasts.
Prior to joining his current station, he worked as a traffic, news, and sports reporter in San Francisco’s Metro Networks. He appeared on different radio stations and in his early 1990s, he worked as a disc jockey at a San Francisco-based alternative radio station called Live 105.
Sal has gained fame for his long tenure as a Bay Area media traffic, news, and transportation reporter. He attended the University of California, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Government.
