Samantha Kummerer is an American journalist currently working at ABC 11, Eyewitness News-WTVD in the Raleigh-Durham, Chapel Hill Area as an investigative reporter and producer. Kummerer joined the station’s team in April 2020. Prior to moving to North Carolina, she served as an investigative reporter for WMBF in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina from June 2018 to April 2020. During her time at WMBF, she covered Hurricane Florence and Dorian, and, luckily, she won awards for her investigation into the rape kit backlog.
Additionally, Samantha worked at CNBC in New York City as an investigative and assignment desk intern for a period of five months and also at NBC 5 Chicago.
