Sandra Endo Biography
Sandra Endo is a renowned American journalist currently working as a general assignment reporter for KTTV’s Fox 11 News and Good Day LA. Before joining Fox 11, Endo worked for CNN/ CNN Newsource in Washington, D.C., where she spent five years. Prior to joining CNN, Sandra worked at NY1 and NBC 5 News in Chicago.
Sandra is a Los Angeles native and a graduate of Van Nuys Math Science Magnet. In addition, she graduated with a magna cum laude from New York University, where she double-majored in politics and journalism. Endo is a recipient of NYU’s Presidential Honors Scholar Program.
Endo started her journalism career with ABC News as an intern. She then joined WNBC-TV and later NY1 News in 1998 as a video journalist and field producer. At NY1, Sandra was promoted to work as the lead political reporter, covering four national political conventions and other major events such as New York City’s transit strike in 2005. She further co-hosted ‘Inside City Hall’ on NY1.
In 2008, Sandra joined CNN Newsoruce as a national correspondent based in Washington, D.C. At the station, she covered the presidential campaign in 2008, the inauguration of former President Barack Obama, and other key incidents such as the explosion of the BP Deepwater Horizon oil rig $ and the death of pop star legend Michael Jackson.
Endo’s stories have appeared on prime-time shows such as AC360 with Anderson Cooper and The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer. She covered a wide range of topics from natural disasters like Hurricane Sandy to Washington politics.
Endo is a member of the Asian-American Journalists Association. In addition, she was the emcee for the Japan Day 2007 celebration at Central Park hosting main stage events.
