Sarah Danik is a renowned Emmy Award-winning American journalist currently working as a reporter for Fox 9 News. Danik has 15 years of experience in the broadcast industry both behind and in front of the camera.
Sarah has anchored and reported news for several stations, including in Iowa, South Carolina, and now at FOX 9 in the Twin Cities. Her broadcast career has taken her to NBC’s Weekend Today Show and MSNBC as a producer, to South Africa as a field producer.
Growing up in Ohio, Sarah headed east to join New York University where she majored in journalism. In her journalism career, Danik has covered stories ranging from sex trafficking in Iowa to hurricane damage along the coast of South Carolina.
Throughout her career, Sarah has been involved in political reporting, including the Iowa Caucuses and the several presidential debates in South Carolina. She has interviewed many presidential candidates one-on-one, including then-President Barack Obama in 2012 and president Donald Trump in 2016 before his election.
Danik has been a Type 1 diabetic since she was 11, and has been involved in JDRF over the years and their work to find better therapies and hopefully a cure for T1D.
