Scott Padgett is an American Emmy-nominated meteorologist who is currently working as the chief meteorologist at CBS 11. He also joined the KTVT news team in September 2013.
Padgett developed his interest in weather when he was very young when he used to sit with his father and watch the storms roll into his neighborhood. This inspired him to pursue meteorology at Western Illinois University and graduated with an additional minor in broadcasting and math.
Scott is a member of the American Meteorological Society and the National Weather Association. He has forecasted many different climates and majored in desert heat, tornadoes, hurricanes, and ice storms.
Padgett has been awarded the Seal of Approval by the American Meteorological Society in 2006. Having more than twenty-two years of forecasting experience, he was nominated for the Emmy awards.
