Seth Aaron Rogen is a famous Canadian actor, comedian, and filmmaker. He began his stand-up comedy at a young age in venues like Camp Miriam, and Habonim Dror camp. Rogen is known for his role in films such as Freaks and Geeks, Undeclared, and Da Ali G Show. As a writer, he was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Writing for a Variety Series. He is also popular for voicing in famous animated films such as Shrek the Third, Horton Hears a Who!, and Kung Fu Panda.
Aaron was born and raised in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. He attended Vancouver Talmud Torah Elementary School and Point Grey Secondary School but he dropped out of high school and moved to Los Angeles. For their work in the show, they received an Emmy nomination. Aaron become recognized in 2007, in the romantic comedy called Knocked Up. In addition to that, he also starred in two of Apatow’s early films “Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy” and “The 40-Year-Old Virgin,”.
Moreover, Seth also reprised his supporting role in “You, Me, and Dupree” and established himself as a household figure. He also made a vocal cameo appearance in the animated film Shrek the Third and in Kung Fu Panda. On top of that, Rogen also hosted Saturday Night Live that same year. His collaboration with Apatow has enabled him to appear in several films like Superbad, Pineapple Express, and Funny People. In 2010, he and Goldberg were responsible for handling the film adaptation of The Green Hornet.
In 2011, he provided the voice of a wisecracking extraterrestrial in the science-fiction spoof Paul. Also, he appeared in the supporting role in Jonathan Levine’s 50/50. Likewise, Seth also hosted the 27th Independent Spirit Awards in 2012. Next, Rogen and Evan made their directorial debut, a comedy series This Is the End, which featured actors like Jay Baruchel and James Franco among others.
The film was a commercial success and become No.2 at the box office on its opening weekend. Four years later, he starred as a co-founder of Steve Wozniak in the Danny Boyle–directed Steve Jobs, for which he received positive reviews from the viewer. In 2016, he reprised his voice role as Master Mantis in Kung Fu Panda 3 and as Mac Radner in the Neighbors sequel Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising.
Apart from that, Rogen together with Goldberg and Sam Catlin, collaborated and developed various series like Preacher, Future Man, and Walmart. Additionally, he also the founder of Hilarity an organization that raises funds for Alzheimer’s research and support comedy. In 2019, he appeared in the musical film The Lion King, voicing the warthog Pumbaa who rescues the film’s protagonist Simba with his friend. That same year, he also produced the comedy Good Boys, starring Jacob Tremblay for Universal Pictures. In addition, he also voiced Allen the Alien in the animated series Invincible.
