Shameik Moore is an American actor, singer, and rapper who is famous for voicing Miles Morales in the film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and its upcoming sequels. Born in Atlanta, he attended Druid Hills High School.
He started off with bit roles in shows such as Tyler Perry’s House of Payne, Reed Between the Lines, and Joyful Noise. In 2013, Moore had his first main television role on the sketch-comedy series Incredible Crew, which aired on Cartoon Network before its cancelation after one season.
Moore gained recognition with his portrayal of Malcolm in the 2015 film Dope, which premiered at the 2015 Sundance Film Festival. Later on, Indiewire included him on its list of “The 12 Major Breakouts of the 2015 Sundance Film Festival” for his performance in the movie.
In addition, he is the five male lead in the animated film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-verse from Sony Pictures Animation. The film was released in December 2018. Moore is set to reprise his role as Miles in the movie’s sequel Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse 2023). In 2019, he played Raekwon of the Wu-Tang Clan in Wu-Tang: An American Saga.
