Sheldon Haygood is an American journalist who is currently working as a reporter and anchor for WBRC. Haygood covers sports during the week and anchors sports on weekends. Prior to joining WBRC in 1994, he worked for WNCF-TV in Montgomery, Alabama, the United States. He was involved in sports during his time in High school. Later on, he enrolled in Southwest Texas University where he earned a degree in Journalism.
Following his graduation, he began his broadcast career at KMID-TV as a weekend anchor and reporter. Most notably, his desire to pursue a sports career stemmed from his general love for sports. Prior to working in Montgomery, Haygood was working as a sports director in Lubbock. He also worked for WNCF-TV in Montgomery, Alabama before joining WBRC in 1994.
Currently, he is working as a reporter and sports anchor for WBRC. Furthermore, he covers sports events during the week and anchors sports on weekends.
