Simon Amstell Biography
Simon Amstell is a British comedian, writer and director known for his work on films like Carnage (2017) and Benjamin (2018). He also gained national fame after he hosted various TV shows like Popworld and Never Mind the Buzzcocks. Simon even worked on a BBC 2 six-part series called Grandma’s House under Tiger Aspect Productions in 2009. His other famous works are in short films like William, Jessie Cave and he even published his first book called Help in 2017
Armstell was born and raised in the eastern part of London called Gant Hill. He grew up in a Jewish household as the firstborn child in a family of four kids. Simon then attended and graduated from Beal High School which is one of the best state Comprehensive schools based in Liford. After high school, Simon left his family and pursued a full-time career as a British comedian and director. It is not known whether he advanced his studies in college studies or not.

In 2000, he was chosen as the host of Popworld on Channel 4 News until 2006 and Never Mind the Buzzcocks from 2003 to 2006. He also did stand-up comedy during this time. Simon then began directing films and TV shows in 2009 by working on BBC 2’s TV series called Grand Ma’s House. In 2017, he worked on Carnage and boosted his career as a director.
