Stephanie Ramos is an American journalist who currently works as a news reporter for ABC News. In the reporting of immigrant children who have been caught crossing from the USA to Mexico, Ramos is renowned for her figure and she has also served on WIS-TV.
Ramos joined ABC as a multi-platform reporter in April 2015. It covers national and international news for all ABC News platforms, with a focus on NewsOne, Radio, and Digital alongside Karen Travers and Mary Bruce.
She anchored and reported to KMBC in Kansas City before joining ABC News. Her work there was particularly notable for her coverage of immigrant children caught crossing from Mexico to the United States.
Stephanie served as 1st Lieutenant in Iraq in 2008 and was awarded multiple medals for her outstanding service, including the Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Medal, and the Iraqi Campaign Medal.
When Stephanie returned from Baghdad, Iraq, she developed and produced, along with her husband, Emio, a half-hour special entitled “To Baghdad & Back” for WIBW using the footage she shot on a small handheld camera during her tour, which won the Kansas Association of Broadcasters Award.
