Steven Fisher Biography
Steven Fisher is an American Award-winning journalist who is currently serving as a Lehigh Valley weekday reporter for NBC10 News. Fisher joined NBC10, Philadelphia in July 2017 from WPXI in Pittsburgh where he worked as a reporter.
Born and raised in Montgomery County, Steven attended West Chester University where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies. before his graduation, Fisher interned at CBS 3 as a News Department Intern
Fisher started his career at KYW-TV in Philadelphia as a production assistant. After spending 8 months at the station, Steven moved to WBOC-TV in Cambridge Maryland where he served as Mid Shore Bureau Chief Reporter. Later, Steven worked as a general assignment reporter at WHTM in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and WBOC in Salisbury, Maryland.
After spending several years at the latter, Steven joined WPXI in Pittsburgh where he worked as a reporter. It is while working at WPXI when Steven got his current job at NBC10 as a reporter.
Fisher is excited to work in his hometown. His favorite part of his journalism career is having the opportunity to share stories that have an impact on the community.
Steven is a two-time Emmy award-winning journalist, receiving honors for Best Video Journalist and Best Feature Story for a report about a man with autism who created a comic book about an autistic superhero. In addition, Fisher has been recognized with awards from the Associated Press and Pennsylvania Association of Broadcasters.
When Steven is not working, he enjoys rooting for all Philly sports teams, playing guitar, traveling, and spending time with his family, friends, and dog Simba.
