Steven Weber Biography
Steven Weber is an American actor, voice actor, comedian, and singer best known for his roles as Brian Hackett on the television series Wings on NBC, which aired from April 1990 to May 1997, and as Sam Blue in Once Again, as well as Jack Torrance in the TV miniseries adaptation of Stephen King’s The Shining. Additionally, he had a recurring role on iZombie as Vaughn du Clark. He also has recurring roles on NCIS: New Orleans as Mayor Douglas, in the TV mini-series The Shining as Jack Torrance, and as a Sergeant First Class Dennis Worcester in Hamburger Hill.
Steven Weber appeared in TV commercials in the third grade. He became a member of the Mirror Repertory Company and also appeared opposite legendary actress Geraldine Page and Mason Adams in “Paradise Lost” before he won a role as Julliane Moores on the CBS daytime drama As the World Turns. He also appeared in several motion pictures and TV miniseries, such as The Flamingo Kid, Hamburger Hill, and The Kennedys of Massachusetts.
Steven’s best-known role is as Brian Hackett, a skirt-chasing airplane pilot on the sitcom Wings. Several years later, he also starred in his own short-lived half-hour comedy, Cursed, later renamed The Weber Show and joined the cast of ABC’s Once and Again as Sam Blue. The next year, he starred in the acclaimed show The D.A. for ABC.
He first appeared on Broadway in Tom Stoppard’s The Real Thing and, in 2001–2002, took over for Matthew as Leo Bloom in the Broadway production of The Production. He wrote and produced 2003’s Clubland, a Showtime movie.
Moreover, he appeared in four Stephen King adaptations: Desperation, You Know They Got a Hell of a Band from the Nightmares and Dreamscapes, Revelations, Becka Palson from the OuterLimits, and in Stephen King’s The Shining.
Steven rejoined Wings co-star Tony Shalhoub in a guest role on Monk. Additionally, he played the role of network boss Jack Rudolph in the NBC series Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip.
Moreover, he was part of the cast of the show Happy Town and had a major role in A Fairly Odd Movie: Timmy Turner. Occasionally, he stares in the live-action comic “Puddin.” He also narrated an unabridged audiobook of Stephens’ Kings It.
