Tahj Mowry Biography
Tahj Mowry is a popular American actor and singer who rose to fame as the brother of the famous Hollywood identical twin sisters Tia and Tamera Mowry. He is also recognized for playing TJ’s role in Smart Guy on Disney Channel and also playing Michelle’s closest friend named Teddy on the popular 1990s comedy series Full House. Mowry even played another best friend role as the roommate of Ben-Wheeler, Tucker Dobbs on Freeform’s Baby Daddy from 2012 to 2017.
Tahj was born in Honolulu, Hawaii but grew up in California, USA as the son of a US army veteran and manager for a mom. Their mother was the one who managed Tahj and his sister’s acting career since they were young. Mowry attended Westlake High School in California. He balanced his studies with his work on set. Tahj’s first role as a young kid actor was in Who’s the Boss? (1990) and Full House (1993). Eventually, Tahj finished his high school studies and joined Savannah State University where he played football for one Season. He then joined the University of Wyoming and transferred to Pepperdine University in Malibu, California where he graduated.

Having made his first acting debut on Smart Kid and Full House, Tahj continued his career by playing a guest role in Disnye’s The Suite Life of Zack & Cody. He then landed another role in a famous movie called Are We Done Yet? as Danny which was later followed by Willie Donovan’s role on Seventeen Again back in 2000.
These roles catapulted Tahj’s fame as a TV and film actor by improving his credibility as an actor. Tahj then landed his Tucker Dobbs role on ABC’s Baby Daddy back in 2012. This was the same year he released his debut single titled Flirt. He also released an EP in 2015 called Future Funk available on all Streaming platforms. Mowry now plays the role of Kabir in a 2022 film called Me Time alongside Kevin Hart, Reginal Hall, Seal and an ensemble cast. He is also set to play the lead role in Disney’s upcoming TV series called The Muppets Mayhem.
