Tamara Scott Biography
Tamara Scott is an American Emmy Award-winning journalist, anchor, and reporter. She is currently serving as a reporter at WAVY-TV 10/FOX43. She previously served as a general assignment reporter and digital journalist at WNCT 9.
Scott attended and graduated from East Carolina University with a bachelor’s degree in Communication and a minor’s degree in Hispanic Studies.

Scott joined WAVY-TV 10/FOX43 as a correspondent in June 2018. Before entering the Hampton Roads group, Tamara came from North Carolina, where she was brought up. She drains purple and gold and is a pleased private student at East Carolina University, where she received her BS in Communications with a specialization in Broadcast Journalism while being a minor in Hispanic Studies.
Prior to joining the 10 On Your Side Group, Tamara started her career at WNCT, a CBS subsidiary in Greenville North Carolina. She says she has been so hopelessly enamored of her private town; she has remained to recount the accounts of the individuals who live there.
During her time at WNCT, she covered various nearby decisions, including the hunt for Mariah Woods in November 2017. Tamara also covered the extreme climate and the dramatic impact of Hurricane Matthew in 2016. Tamara is a member of the National Association of Black Journalists and Alpha Kappa Psi Business Fraternity. At a time when she’s not on the news, Tamara is investing her energies in spending time with her companions, setting off on the seashore, checking out new cafes, and making up for lost time with her favorite TV shows.
