Tanya Haden is an American musician, voice-over artist and singer known as one of Charlie Haden’s triplet daughters. She is also widely recognized as the lawfully wedded wife of accomplished American actor, musician and comedian Jack Black. Tanya is also known for voicing various characters in animated films like The Muppets and Kung Fu Panda (2008).
Haden was born and raised in New York City, New York, USA. She grew up as one of three triplet daughters of a famous Jazz bassist named Charles Haden. Therefore, Tanya developed a passion for music from a young age. She finished her early education through a homeschooling program. Eventually, Tanya attended and graduated from the Crossroads School where she met the love of her life, Jack Black. Haden then advanced her studies at the California Institute of Arts where she received an MFA degree with a major in experimental animation.
After College, Tanya launched her career in music by becoming a member of several bands in her hometown and Los Angeles. She then went on to create the Imaginary Bear Puppet show while doing a lot of production for various Eps for a number of singers and musicians based in Los Angeles, California. After earning her MFA degree, Tanya continued with her visual arts career which she began at the California Institute of Arts.
Her visual art skills have even appeared in shows like the Las Cienehas Projects of 2010 and many more. In 2014, Tanya and her other two sisters, Petra and Rachel released their first album called The Haden Triplets together. The album was part of their first project being signed under The Third Man Records. Haden plays the cello while her sisters play other instruments while harmonizing together throughout the songs on the album.
