Tom Sater is a renowned meteorologist and weather anchor for CNN International based in Atlanta. The five-time Emmy Award-winning meteorologist has also provided reports on sister networks such as CNN/U.S. and HLN.

He is a member of the National Weather Association where he has earned the Seal of Approval from the American Meteorological Society. In his position as, a senior meteorologist, Tom has covered many international weather stories including Super Typhoon Haiyan in November 2013.

At one point when he was covering the landfall impact in the Philippines, Sater was one of the first international broadcasters to report on the storms. This was the strongest typhoon to make landfall on any landmass in recorded history.

This reporting further led CNN to win the Best News Coverage-International category for its reporting of Typhoon Haiyan. This was at the prestigious Royal Television Society Awards.

Before Tom joined CNNI, he worked as a meteorologist in various United States markets. These included Washington, D.C.; Atlanta, Georgia; Cincinnati, Ohio; Montgomery, Alabama, and Lexington, and Kentucky.
